Responsibilities
- Analyze product requirements and technical designs to identify quality risks and testing scenarios.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API tests using appropriate automation frameworks.
- Build reusable automation for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform API testing, backend validation, and database validation using Postman, REST clients, and SQL.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve testing speed and reliability.
- Improve test coverage and automation efficiency by addressing flaky tests, testing gaps, and repetitive manual processes.
- Participate in performance and security testing initiatives where applicable.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to promote quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Requires 1–3 years of experience in QA, SDET, or software testing with an interest in automation and quality engineering.
- Requires good programming skills in one or more of C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Requires hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or RestAssured.
- Requires understanding of test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Mocha.
- Requires practical API testing experience using Postman or REST clients.
- Requires knowledge of SQL and databases for backend validation.
- Requires exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Requires understanding of functional, regression, integration, white-box, and black-box testing fundamentals.
- Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Agile/Scrum knowledge and exposure to performance or security testing are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and attention-to-detail skills are expected.
