Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize secure, scalable, and resilient WordPress and Drupal applications.
- Architect reusable WordPress themes, plugins, and Drupal modules while maintaining code quality and performance.
- Integrate enterprise APIs and third-party services into content management solutions.
- Review, refactor, and harden legacy WordPress and Drupal implementations.
- Implement security practices and support compliance with internal controls and industry regulations.
- Optimize front-end rendering, backend processing, queries, caching strategies, and content delivery configurations.
- Translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Define test strategies, support automation coverage, and validate feature acceptance and non-functional requirements.
- Mentor engineering peers on CMS practices, coding standards, and debugging strategies.
- Partner with infrastructure and DevOps teams on deployment pipelines, automation, and reliable releases.
- Analyze production incidents, perform root-cause investigations, and implement preventive fixes.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting experts on compliant financial data flows when applicable.
- Document technical decisions, solution architectures, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- 6 to 12 years of experience.
- Extensive WordPress experience building custom themes, extending core capabilities, and managing complex enterprise plugin ecosystems.
- Deep Drupal expertise configuring content types, views, custom modules, and user permissions for large-scale multisite environments.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, relational databases, and modern front-end technologies used with WordPress and Drupal.
- Understanding of finance and accounting processes and their related content and integration flows.
- Experience with performance tuning, caching strategies, and monitoring tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for hybrid, cross-functional teams across time zones.
- Experience with version control, code review, and structured technical documentation.
