Staff Software Engineer - Marketplace
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define third-party vendor integration requirements and establish the Marketplace as a central security operations hub.
- Research cybersecurity vendors and industry tools, ingest and correlate their data, and map it to the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework for triage, investigation, and response.
- Develop and extend the Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot integrations platform and its interactive vendor onboarding experience.
- Design and maintain Apache Kafka-based event-driven microservices processing entity activities, XDR alerts, and external triggers at scale.
- Own infrastructure across the request lifecycle, including ingress gateways, API routing, relational databases, JWT/OAuth authentication, and shared security libraries.
- Participate in on-call, incident response, and troubleshooting for a multi-region, multi-cluster production platform.
- Contribute to GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying services and functions across environments.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on expertise with Java or Kotlin, Spring Boot, and strong system design fundamentals; Go or Rust knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka, including topics, consumer groups, and streaming pipelines.
- Ability to research and reverse-engineer APIs from documentation and technical specifications and model them into structured data schemas.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in shaping engineering best practices and driving adoption across a team.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerized deployments, Helm charts, ingress controllers such as Traefik, and operator or reconciler patterns.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
- Experience developing integration or contract tests such as pytest and working within CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience includes AWS Lambda or other serverless platforms, data-intensive ingestion and transformation systems, complex third-party API integrations, production LLM or AI-agent software, and distributed multi-region systems.
