Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions and customer experiences in production environments.
- Develop agent intelligence using prompts, reasoning, tool calls, integrations, and current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end-to-end, including architecture, deployment, validation, and observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines, model data, and validate outputs across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Develop proofs of concept and MVPs that move rapidly from design to deployment.
- Co-build solutions with customers and partners and provide best-practice enablement.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience and at least one production system to demonstrate.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering is required.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects and deliver quality code.
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor and experiment with evolving AI and data tools.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce certifications or platform experience, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, cloud data platform experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, and experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
