Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences that take actions in enterprise customer environments.
- Design agent intelligence, including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
- Own technical components end-to-end from architecture selection through deployment, validation, and production observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Model data, ship pipelines, validate outputs, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Build proofs of concept and MVPs, co-build solutions with customers and partners, and provide enablement and best practices.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer business challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience and at least one production system to demonstrate.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects while delivering quality code and rigorously evaluating AI outputs.
- Willingness to experiment with emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce platform experience or certifications, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, and experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
