Responsibilities
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, automated tests, and regression tests.
- Test web application functionality, workflows, user interfaces, REST APIs, databases, and error handling.
- Develop automated tests and support integration and end-to-end testing across applications, APIs, and databases.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Troubleshoot issues by analyzing application behavior, API responses, database data, and application logs.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software quality and maintainability.
- Work with Docker/containerized applications in the development and testing environment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of fundamental software development and software testing concepts.
- Basic programming experience in C#, JavaScript, Python, or a similar language.
- Ability to write and understand SQL queries and familiarity with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with web applications, HTTP concepts, REST APIs, JSON, and Git/source control.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Desired experience includes ASP.NET Core/.NET, HTML, CSS, Postman, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Docker Compose, CI/CD pipelines, Azure, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Available for a full-time 12-month position.

- In-office work is required five days per week in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- The listed pay range is CAD $28.50–$44.00 per hour, depending on education and job duties.
