Base Salary
$185k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to translate customer challenges into technical designs and AI strategies.
- Architect, build, and deploy scalable, reliable, secure AI/ML platforms and tools.
- Lead development, evaluation, fine-tuning, and monitoring of production AI/ML models, including LLMs and RAG architectures.
- Design and standardize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Monitor system health, lead critical incident response, and refactor architectures to remove bottlenecks.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and vendors and prototype new approaches.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer focused heavily on production ML systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s or PhD in AI/ML is preferred.
- Production experience taking AI solutions from concept to high-scale production using Python, Java, Go, or C#.
- Deep experience with generative AI, prompting strategies, RAG, fine-tuning, and agentic workflows.
- Ability to design distributed systems and microservices architectures for model serving.
- Expert proficiency in Python or other core languages including Java, Go, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vLLM.
- Advanced understanding of MLOps, feature stores, and model monitoring.
- Hands-on Kubernetes cluster deployment and management experience and cloud experience, preferably AWS.
- Strong data engineering skills involving SQL, data lakes, and processing pipelines.
- Strong probability, statistics, and linear algebra knowledge.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders and drive consensus.
- Financial or fintech industry experience is preferred.
