Base Salary
$126k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute high-quality, well-tested backend code to the data migration engine and core components.
- Collaborate with Product Management, AI researchers, and machine learning engineers to deliver on the product roadmap.
- Develop robust and efficient backend services that orchestrate AI functionalities.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks and architectural challenges.
- Participate in code reviews to enforce best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in distributed systems.
- Give and solicit feedback on technical design documents and pull requests.
- Perform tasks related to CI/CD, quality, and testing.
Requirements
- 6+ years of engineering experience in backend systems or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Rust, C/C++, and/or Python with a strong understanding of systems-level programming.
- Extensive experience with streaming data platforms like Apache Kafka and CDC tools like Debezium.
- Hands-on experience with at least one SQL database such as Postgres or MySQL.
- Exposure to client-side technologies like JavaScript and React is a plus.
- Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, and their complexities.
- Curiosity, a positive attitude, and a drive to continue learning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
