Responsibilities
- Develop autonomy software for aerial and multi-domain robotic systems
- Build software for Lattice for Mission Autonomy, Fury, Barracuda, and other robotic platforms
- Work on computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications
- Process and analyze significant amounts of data
- Develop features and algorithms for autonomous systems, including behavior-based functionality
- Build, test, and deploy capabilities in real-world environments
- Collaborate with Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering teams
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- 3+ years of production-grade Rust experience in a Linux development environment
- Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis
- Ability to understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases quickly
- Strong background in physics, mathematics, or motion planning for modeling and simulation
- Experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments
- Experience with feature and algorithm development and behavior trees
- Experience developing software or hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionality
- Knowledge of distributed communication networks and message standards
- Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
