Base Salary
$230k - $390k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform and LLM inference serving.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, and reproducible cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
- Create and evolve a self-service infrastructure platform for deploying and operating services.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and release management for fast, reliable deployments.
- Architect and operate distributed systems using distributed databases, retrieval systems, and machine learning models.
- Develop data-serving abstractions and authentication and security features including SSO and RBAC.
- Integrate Sierra’s stack with enterprise customer environments.
- Improve observability through metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Lead and participate in incident management, monitoring, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of hands-on software development experience with highly technical products.
- Strong focus on automation, tooling, platform development, and maintainable system design.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, release management, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with incident response and operating distributed systems in production.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: production experience with LLMs and machine learning models.
- Preferred: distributed systems, SaaS at scale, agentic architecture, security and authentication protocols including OAuth, SSO, and mTLS, or experience on a platform/infrastructure-focused team.
