Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical initiatives in the fraud defense domain.
- Design and build scalable fraud detection systems, including rule engines, ML-based anomaly detection, and risk-scoring pipelines.
- Architect real-time and batch data-processing systems that aggregate fraud signals across marketplaces.
- Build and adapt investigation and case-management tools for internal operations teams.
- Partner with data scientists, product managers, and policy teams on enforcement strategies.
- Mentor developers and promote strong engineering practices.
- Write technical design documents and drive cross-team alignment.
- Collaborate with distributed teams across time zones.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives.
- Experience designing and building scalable software systems for fraud detection or related domains.
- Ability to work with real-time and batch data-processing systems, detection approaches, and risk-scoring workflows.
- Ability to influence technical direction, communicate across teams, and mentor other developers.
- Commitment to balancing enforcement effectiveness with customer experience.
