Base Salary
$112k - $239k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and TypeScript-based tooling.
- Manage Kubernetes EKS clusters, Helm charts, and Istio service-mesh configuration across environments.
- Build and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Support provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud-hosted environments.
- Manage AWS Secrets Manager secrets and enforce least-privilege IAM policies.
- Participate in infrastructure code reviews, incident resolution, and postmortem reviews.
- Create infrastructure documentation and share knowledge with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for production systems, potentially including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm for containerized workloads.
- At least 2 years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering is preferred.
- AWS, Kubernetes, or related certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Istio or another service mesh, EKS or other container orchestration platforms, and managed relational databases is preferred.
- Experience authoring reusable Terraform modules, building CI/CD pipelines, managing observability tooling, planning capacity, scaling infrastructure, and implementing rolling, blue/green, or canary deployments is preferred.
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider is preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript for infrastructure tooling scripts.
- Strong troubleshooting, distributed-systems reasoning, documentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile practices.
