Responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end technical architecture, technology strategy, feasibility studies, technology selection, and strategic roadmaps for major application systems.
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, resilient microservices ecosystems using Spring Boot.
- Provide hands-on Java technical leadership focused on concurrency, multithreading, performance tuning, JVM internals, and reliable code.
- Architect and govern enterprise event-driven systems using Kafka and other messaging technologies.
- Oversee database architecture, data modeling, performance optimization, data integrity, and security across SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Provide technical governance across the software development lifecycle, from planning and analysis through deployment and long-term support.
- Define cloud-native, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and automated CI/CD best practices using ECS and Kubernetes.
- Establish standards for code quality, performance, security, risk management, compliance, and architectural reviews.
- Mentor senior engineers and team leads and champion Agile maturity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of progressive software engineering experience with significant systems architecture and technical leadership experience.
- Mastery of Core Java, including advanced concurrency, performance optimization, JVM internals, and current language features.
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex, distributed, scalable enterprise systems.
- Expert-level proficiency with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot for large-scale microservices.
- Experience architecting and managing highly available, large-scale event-driven systems using Kafka.
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL database architecture, advanced performance tuning, and complex data modeling.
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, ECS or Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Demonstrated leadership in maturing and scaling Agile development practices across teams.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Preferred strategic experience using AI tools and prompt engineering to accelerate development, improve code quality, and support analytics.
