Responsibilities
- Continuously improve the platform underpinning DAZN’s services.
- Write, review, and maintain production code rather than only YAML or configuration files.
- Design and build a cloud-agnostic platform layer using modern CNCF technologies.
- Support large-scale cloud deployments, networking, and infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Improve authentication, authorization, security processes, and security tooling.
- Enable safe, fast, cost-effective deployments and self-service build-run-own capabilities for development teams.
- Collaborate with and support developers globally.
- Participate in on-call support when required.
Requirements
- Experience building, securing, and managing Kubernetes clusters for other teams to use.
- Knowledge of containerized or serverless workloads.
- Coding experience in Golang, TypeScript, or another high-level language.
- Experience with event-driven or asynchronous designs.
- Experience with Golang is desirable.
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio is desirable.
- Experience with multi-cloud Kubernetes deployments is desirable.
- Understanding of OAuth/OIDC flows and authentication and authorization is desirable.
- Knowledge of SRE concepts and their practical application is desirable.
- A considerate, inclusive, and collaborative team-oriented approach is expected.
