Senior Software Engineer (Python and GenAI)

- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
- Contribute to large-scale planning of technical strategies and lead projects as an escalation point.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy software for technology projects and programs.
- Review and resolve moderately complex technical challenges involving technologies, procedures, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, managers, and technical and business partners to resolve challenges and drive requirements.
- Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff and lead teams in meeting client needs.
- Perform database query design and optimization and support data modeling, database design, analytics, warehousing, quality, and governance activities.
- Use Linux, shell scripts, and job scheduling tools while investigating root causes from logs and error messages.
- Assure adherence to standards, best practices, and overall architecture alignment.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 4 years of strong development experience with Python and PySpark.
- Understanding of AI and GenAI concepts with hands-on experience.
- Exposure to APIs, API gateways, and microservices.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment using uDeploy, Harness, Jenkins, GitHub, and JIRA.
- Understanding of DevOps, data modeling, database design, data analytics, data warehousing, data quality, and data governance.
- Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting, job scheduling, debugging, problem solving, and root-cause investigation.
- Knowledge of automated testing is a plus.
- Banking or financial services experience, strong communication skills, analytical and debugging ability, and experience working in a virtual environment across time zones.
- Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, make sound decisions, and work with changing business needs.
