Senior Backend Software Engineer, Subscriptions Enablement

Base Salary
$140k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the evolution of the Subscriptions and Payments platforms, including foundational systems and APIs.
- Lead and collaborate on feature development supporting subscription growth, monetization, and business expansion.
- Make architectural decisions, lead technical discussions, and provide feedback on team designs.
- Improve system reliability, observability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build and maintain technical documentation.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering to define scope, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver solutions.
- Conduct code reviews to improve quality, maintain standards, and share knowledge.
- Participate in an occasional team on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in a software development role.
- At least 4 years of experience with Node.js or another backend technology.
- At least 1 year of experience leading and implementing complex designs.
- TypeScript experience is preferred.
- Experience with a system deployed in an AWS environment is preferred.
- Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills are expected.
