Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and evolve platform architecture strategy, roadmaps, blueprints, target-state designs, and modernization strategies for Custody, Wealth, and Asset Management platforms.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical governance across solution design, delivery, security, resiliency, and platform evolution.
- Partner with business and product stakeholders to improve workflows, platform design, data flow, interoperability, and operational efficiency in regulated financial environments.
- Remain hands-on through prototyping, design validation, code reviews, technical troubleshooting, implementation guidance, and reference implementations.
- Design APIs, system integrations, event-driven architectures, data patterns, cloud deployment models, observability, and resilient distributed systems.
- Design and support cloud-native application deployment on Azure and/or AWS, including containerization and infrastructure automation.
- Architect data platforms, data pipelines, metadata strategies, and analytics-ready systems supporting transactional and analytical workloads.
- Identify and shape governed AI/GenAI use cases such as knowledge retrieval, intelligent workflows, summarization, classification, and operational productivity improvements.
- Drive engineering excellence, legacy modernization, automation, testing, reliability, security-by-design, performance optimization, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, platform leads, data teams, security teams, SRE teams, and business leaders while mentoring engineers and junior architects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred but not required.
- 15+ years of experience in architecture and engineering roles within financial services or similarly complex regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technology solutions in Custody, Wealth, and/or Asset Management.
- Strong experience in platform architecture, solution architecture, distributed systems, microservices, service-oriented architectures, event-driven systems, API-first platforms, high-availability systems, and scalable batch and real-time processing.
- Strong software engineering background with the ability to participate in hands-on technical work and guide complex implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, cloud-native application design, Kubernetes or container platforms, infrastructure as code, deployment automation, security and identity integration, and cloud operational design.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and engineering patterns, including data modeling, data integration and transformation pipelines, metadata and lineage, data quality, governance, and transactional and analytical workloads.
- Practical exposure to AI/GenAI integration, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge retrieval, LLM-enabled search, summarization, classification, assistant use cases, responsible AI, model governance, and secure enterprise adoption.
- Track record of leading architecture for complex enterprise platforms and transformation initiatives while balancing strategic design with practical implementation.
- Experience working in Agile or product-centric delivery environments and engaging stakeholders across business, operations, and technology teams.
