Responsibilities
- Lead customer projects delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Design and implement secure, scalable, end-to-end data architectures and applications.
- Guide customers through architecture, design, implementation, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks solutions.
- Work with customer stakeholders, Databricks engineering, product, support, project managers, and architects to deliver technical components and resolve issues.
- Embed with customer teams, manage technical scope and outcomes, and communicate with stakeholders ranging from technical contributors to executives.
- Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and inform the Databricks product roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript and work with modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems—AWS, Azure, or GCP—with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark, including knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant production data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Strong documentation and white-boarding skills, enterprise client experience, and experience managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to explore technologies supporting Databricks-based solution deployment and integration.
- Databricks Certification is required.
