Lead Software Engineer - (SRE principles , AI tools, AWS)

- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of AI-assisted applications and platform operations.
- Design and implement AI-driven intelligent alerting, noise reduction, and event-correlation systems.
- Build and maintain observability, monitoring, and telemetry for AI applications and platforms.
- Develop automation for alerting, anomaly detection, and self-healing workflows.
- Drive adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and refactoring tools.
- Collaborate with engineering and other stakeholders to advance operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers on AIOps standards, responsible AI use, and operational excellence.
- Define and execute the roadmap for AI-assisted SRE and observability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Strong experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, Bedrock, CloudWatch, RDS, and EKS.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or LLM APIs.
- Expertise with OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Spinnaker.
- A proven track record in automation, operational tooling, and event-driven workflows.
- In-depth understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud architectures.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption of AI-assisted delivery practices.
- Preferred: experience with GitHub Copilot or Windsurf.
- Preferred: familiarity with prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG pipelines.
- Preferred: experience building operational copilots or troubleshooting chatbots.
- Preferred: proficiency in Python; Go is a plus.
