Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend systems serving AI-powered features in production.
- Design inference pipelines, orchestration layers, and model-oriented service boundaries.
- Own monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response for production systems.
- Optimize inference latency and throughput through caching, batching, and streaming.
- Debug distributed systems under load and iteratively improve performance and reliability based on production usage.
- Build stable APIs supporting integration with frontend and ML systems.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals in production environments.
- Experience running high-throughput, low-latency services.
- Familiarity with AI inference patterns involving LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal systems.
- Comfort debugging distributed systems under load.
- Ability to execute independently, exercise judgment, and ship quickly in a hands-on team environment.
