Base Salary
$89k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to shape technical concepts aligned with human-centered design.
- Rapidly prototype low- to high-fidelity digital and physical experiences, including agentic AI-driven interactions.
- Apply AI/ML/GenAI, IoT, immersive interfaces, and other emerging technologies to business challenges.
- Lead technical feasibility analysis and ethical reviews, including agentic AI safety and governance considerations.
- Define and prototype API-based agent tools with input/output schemas, error handling, and versioning.
- Build modern web interfaces integrating agentic systems, streaming responses, workflow state, and human-in-the-loop actions.
- Define agent evaluation criteria covering accuracy, reliability, safety, latency, and user trust.
- Translate prototypes and technical insights into compelling narratives for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent demonstrable portfolio of work.
- Deep understanding of human-centered design methods and mindset.
- Ability to unite design and engineering through cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to create context-appropriate digital and physical prototypes and apply emerging technologies.
- Ability to design human-in-the-loop patterns for approvals, escalation, rollbacks, and exception handling.
- Ability to assess technical feasibility, system integration, and implementation pathways.
- Experience with AI and data ethics, including equity, bias, transparency, permissioning, auditability, and user control.
- Ability to define API-based agent tools and build front-end interfaces for agentic experiences.
- Preferred 1-3+ years of relevant experience, depending on level.
- Preferred experience in enterprise and agency environments, vertical domains, IT infrastructure, architecture, platform capabilities, behavioral science, change management, design research, data science, AI/ML, or HCI.
- Preferred ability to partner with AI engineers using open-source agent runtimes.
- Advanced degree or certification in design, HCI, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
