Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, debug, and maintain secure, scalable cloud-based applications.
- Build integrations supporting KYC, AML, sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening.
- Use AWS services and automation tools including CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, security, and compliance in AWS environments.
- Develop architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs through review and testing.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve application code quality and system architecture.
- Document technical solutions and support audits, regulatory reviews, and collaboration with compliance, operations, and technology teams.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
- Experience developing and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Scala, Node.js, SQL, PostgreSQL, and related application technologies.
- Experience with Docker, ECS, EKS, serverless architectures, API integration, data management, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Solid understanding of KYC, AML, sanctions, PEP, adverse media screening, and applicable regulatory standards including FATF, OFAC, and EU requirements.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, security, software development lifecycle practices, and agile delivery.
- Preferred experience includes client screening platforms such as World-Check, Fircosoft, or LexisNexis; AWS certifications; CI/CD pipelines; DevOps practices; and CloudWatch or other monitoring tools.
