Base Salary
$125k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features across web and mobile surfaces, including APIs, services, and user interfaces.
- Own projects end to end, including scoping, system design, implementation, testing, and production deployment.
- Integrate payment processors, financial APIs, on and off ramps, compliance tooling, and identity providers.
- Build scalable, high-performance services that process real-money transactions with strong reliability and observability.
- Maintain code quality through clean abstractions, testing, and thoughtful code review.
- Collaborate with product, design, operations, and company leadership to deliver simple user experiences.
Requirements
- Deep experience with TypeScript and Node.js, with some exposure to Rust beneficial.
- Production experience with React Native; familiarity with Expo and modern mobile build pipelines is a bonus.
- Experience owning complex product changes from idea through launch.
- Strong debugging ability across databases, infrastructure, and frontend performance.
- Solid understanding of security practices involving authentication, authorization, and sensitive data.
- Strong code quality, testing, readability, and maintainability practices.
- Clear written and verbal communication with non-engineering partners.
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities in an early-stage startup.
- Experience with traditional fintech integrations such as Stripe, Plaid, or ACH rails, or with blockchain infrastructure such as Solana, is a bonus.
- Prior startup experience as an early engineer with meaningful product ownership is a bonus.
