Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom ServiceNow solutions and support out-of-the-box ServiceNow products.
- Maintain a ServiceNow instance with custom applications and develop platform functionalities using client-side and server-side scripting.
- Troubleshoot ServiceNow issues for university staff and integrate third-party products, external databases, and systems.
- Configure data sources and build scheduled imports and exports.
- Gather business processes and project requirements from internal customers and communicate project information to clients and project personnel.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, support quality assurance activities, and improve development processes and best practices.
- Research and resolve technical problems, including issue troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Work on Agile projects, manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and provide guidance to less experienced technical professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and implementing ServiceNow applications.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certificate or equivalent experience.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of JavaScript and client-side and server-side scripting.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external databases or systems.
- Knowledge of inbound email functionality, base system tables, dictionary overrides, global and scoped applications, script includes, GlideAjax, data sources, and scheduled imports and exports.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, tune performance, translate complex technical requirements into functional software, document work, and communicate effectively.
- Preferred experience with HTML, CSS, Angular, Bootstrap, Jira, Agile/Scrum project development, IDM/OSSO, SQL, Oracle, database interfaces, and external-system integrations.
