Responsibilities
- Design, write, test, implement, and document solutions for assigned program modules.
- Design and build scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Develop and deploy secure microservices with API design, authentication, service-to-service communication, and event-driven architectures.
- Collaborate with project teams and other software engineers to provide technical support.
- Support assigned IT systems and applications by troubleshooting and resolving defects.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Apply resilient microservice patterns to support system reliability and fault tolerance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience independently identifying program issues and developing appropriate solutions.
- Strong experience with Java and SQL.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, programming concepts, best practices, and development methodologies.
- Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, unit testing, integration testing, and scalable enterprise applications.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Kafka or RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with Spring Security, JWT/OAuth2 authentication, service-to-service communication, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across application, infrastructure, and system layers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, API Gateway technologies, banking or financial services, AI-assisted development tools, and Angular, Kotlin, Xcode, or similar technologies.
