Responsibilities
- Build, test, debug, and maintain core License Manager capabilities using Go and C++.
- Deliver features, fixes, and enhancements from design through implementation and completion.
- Write clean, maintainable, secure code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
- Investigate product and production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
- Lead technical design for distributed systems, APIs, and secure service-to-service communication.
- Work across Go services and existing C++ components, including integration and incremental modernization.
- Collaborate with product management, support, senior engineers, and cross-functional engineering partners.
- Contribute to technical decisions, broader ownership, mentoring, incident leadership, and service reliability.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Go experience building scalable, reliable, high-throughput production services.
- Strong hands-on C++ experience in production systems, including performance-sensitive code, debugging, and design trade-offs.
- Experience working across Go services and existing C++ components.
- Experience leading technical design for distributed systems, APIs, and secure service-to-service communication.
- Deep ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance, reliability, and production issues.
- Strong automated-testing, observability, and production-support practices.
- Preferred experience with licensing, entitlement, metering, or commercial-platform services.
- Preferred experience designing legacy-system migration strategies while maintaining production stability.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions across teams.
- Python experience for test tooling and automation is preferred.
- Kubernetes and cloud-native service operations experience is preferred.
- Incident leadership and service-reliability engineering experience is preferred.
