Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, maintainable backend services for core products.
- Lead or contribute to technical initiatives and mentor teammates.
- Collaborate with Product to define requirements and translate them into technical specs.
- Uphold and evolve engineering best practices including code quality and documentation.
- Participate in design discussions and conduct code reviews.
- Solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions.
- Cultivate an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
Requirements
- Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain backend systems independently.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles with experience in production-ready code.
- Experience leading or significantly contributing to complex engineering projects.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- High level of empathy, integrity, and calmness under pressure.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with Python and AWS.
- Interest in financial systems and solving meaningful problems.
