Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, maintainable backend services for core products and bank integrations.
- Lead or contribute to technical initiatives, define architecture, lead projects, and mentor teammates.
- Partner with Product to define requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and ship features.
- Uphold and evolve engineering practices covering code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation.
- Participate in design discussions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to scalable technical decisions.
- Solve challenging technical problems with innovative and pragmatic approaches.
- Help cultivate an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
Requirements
- Proven ability to independently design, develop, and maintain backend systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and experience writing high-quality, production-ready code.
- Experience leading or significantly contributing to complex engineering projects for more senior candidates.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, with flexibility depending on level.
- Experience with Python, AWS, or similar modern technologies is preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Interest in financial systems and meaningful real-world problems.
- Thoughtful individual contributor who supports teammates and improves team practices.
