Base Salary
$155k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the data platform end to end, including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reliability.
- Optimize ingestion pipelines for low-latency availability and consistent performance during seasonal surges.
- Build the data transformation layer and maintain clean, predictable data for Hazel.
- Automate data integrations and transformations using AI agents.
- Ship new source integrations end to end.
- Own data platform reliability as the platform scales.
Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience building production data infrastructure and owning a data warehouse used by others.
- Have deep understanding of dbt, SQL, data grain, incrementality, and data modeling.
- Have strong Python skills for building the ingestion layer.
- Have production experience owning an orchestration system such as Dagster, Airflow, Temporal, or Prefect.
- Use coding agents effectively and can evaluate where they help or hurt the work.
- Write clear documentation and are comfortable initially being the sole owner of the function.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with open table formats, e-commerce or DTC data, Shopify, Klaviyo, Amazon SP-API, ad platforms, and multi-tenant warehouse design.
