Responsibilities
- Design Azure-based solutions, including high-level and low-level architectures, service selections, and architecture diagrams.
- Implement, configure, deploy, integrate, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure-based solutions.
- Design and build self-service Azure capabilities and reusable platform products for internal DevOps teams.
- Develop automation, templates, APIs, and integration patterns to improve developer experience and Azure service consumption.
- Embed security, compliance, policy, identity, networking, and governance controls into platform capabilities.
- Operate platform services with emphasis on reliability, observability, supportability, and continuous improvement.
- Engage DevOps teams to understand adoption barriers, gather feedback, and improve platform products.
- Collaborate with Azure platform teams, developers, architects, and project managers to deliver enterprise-scale cloud capabilities.
- Contribute to modernization of platform engineering practices, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and automation.
- Stay current with Azure services and best practices through training and certification programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in Azure engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of core Azure services, including AKS, Azure VM, Azure networking, Azure Monitor, Azure AD, IAM, Azure SQL, and Databricks.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale landing zones using Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Experience with Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, and other automation tools.
- Demonstrated experience with Azure policies and strong expertise with Azure Pipelines using YAML.
- An automation and development mindset; prior development experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AZ-104, AZ-400, and AZ-204 are preferred.
- CKA, CKAD, or Terraform Associate certification is a plus.
