Responsibilities
- Architect the ranking backbone for search and personalization.
- Design a search autosuggest system focused on value-based relevance.
- Create long-horizon objective functions and uplift models.
- Develop production-grade Multi-Task Learning systems.
- Own the inference layer for re-ranking and latency optimization.
- Advance evaluation practices for tracking incremental GTV and retention.
- Collaborate with various teams to align ranking policies with business goals.
- Mentor ML engineers in ranking and causal inference.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience applying ML at scale with a Master's degree, or 2+ years for PhD.
- Proven track record in improving ranking or recommendation systems in production.
- Experience with multi-objective optimization and online testing.
- Strong coding skills in Python and data fluency in SQL/Pandas.
- Expertise in classic ML techniques and deep learning frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and cross-functional communication skills.
