Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle of management frameworks supporting interoperability across hardware and the pluggable optics ecosystem.
- Integrate control-plane and datapath logic across NPU and ASIC designs.
- Architect Linux-based embedded solutions integrating hardware optics and PHY layers.
- Design diagnostic and telemetry infrastructure for network observability and autonomy.
- Lead end-to-end design of medium-scope features and influence the software roadmap.
- Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and create user documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years, Master’s degree and 4+ years, or PhD and 1+ years of experience in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with C, C++, Python, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience developing embedded systems and programming for Linux OS.
- Platform infrastructure or optics software development experience.
- Preferred: experience with coherent optics such as ZR/ZR+, PHY/SerDes, FEC, ASIC/NPU, and DSP-based systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with CMIS and/or SFF standards.
- Preferred: experience with IOS-XR, SONiC, FBOSS, or similar network operating system platforms.
- Preferred: experience with AI networking infrastructure and knowledge of optical line systems and coherent transport technologies.
