Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, design, test, implement, deploy, and support new or revised enterprise application systems.
- Perform high-level and low-level design, application development, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support using Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and Python.
- Design and implement microservices, distributed applications, cloud solutions, deployment strategies, and application architecture.
- Translate business and user requirements into technical designs, data models, and production code.
- Evaluate feasibility, timelines, costs, risks, business processes, system processes, and industry standards for application initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical and process documentation, architecture designs, presentations, and detailed project plans.
- Consult with users, clients, business stakeholders, and technology teams and provide advanced programming and solution guidance.
- Establish operating standards and procedures, support compliance and risk controls, and recommend security measures during post-implementation analysis.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts and work independently with limited direct supervision.
- Support large-scale program rollouts and work under tight deadlines and changing requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or university degree in a relevant area, or equivalent experience.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- 8–11 years of strong experience with Java/J2EE, including design, development, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and deployment.
- Strong experience with Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, SQL, object-oriented programming, web frameworks, and relational database systems.
- Hands-on Python and Python framework experience is preferred.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices, cloud design patterns, distributed computing solutions, and application architectures.
- Experience with Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure and good understanding of Linux or Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of SOA concepts, API design, cloud computing, virtual environments, source control systems, unit testing frameworks, and build and deployment tools.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, creating project plans, and using consulting or project management techniques.
- Ability to convert requirements into technical designs and code, create technical documentation and presentations, and communicate with audiences at different levels.
- Ability to prioritize schedules, manage deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, adapt to change, and motivate or lead a team.
- Big data knowledge and familiarity with current technology advancements are advantageous.
