Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and own architectures for robotics intelligence platforms, autonomous systems, robotic fleets, robotics services, and production deployment.
- Architect perception, localization, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, task planning, autonomous decision logic, robot learning, and runtime execution capabilities.
- Design multi-robot orchestration and fleet-management systems covering task allocation, traffic management, monitoring, exception handling, and fleet optimization.
- Define integration patterns across robot OEMs, fleet managers, ROS/ROS 2, PLC/SCADA, MES, WMS, ERP, IoT, industrial data platforms, and site workflows.
- Design cloud, edge, and GPU deployment architectures with appropriate performance, scalability, resilience, security, connectivity, and cost trade-offs.
- Establish observability, telemetry, diagnostics, remote operations, configuration management, software distribution, upgrades, rollback, and lifecycle-management patterns.
- Partner with simulation and digital-twin teams on virtual commissioning, synthetic data, robot training, simulation-to-real workflows, and deployment validation.
- Set production-readiness, testing, safety, cybersecurity, commissioning, supportability, and operational continuity standards.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical governance, decision records, risk management, reusable reference architectures, and engineering standards.
- Mentor robotics, automation, AI, and platform engineering teams and support pre-sales discovery, solutioning, demonstrations, estimates, and delivery transition.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in robotics engineering, robotics software, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying industrial or commercial robotics systems in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in ROS/ROS 2, Python, and C++ for robotics applications and platform integration.
- Hands-on experience with perception, localization, SLAM, motion planning, task planning, sensor fusion, controls, or autonomous navigation.
- Experience with fleet management, multi-robot coordination, orchestration platforms, or distributed robotic systems.
- Experience integrating robotics with PLC/SCADA, OPC UA, MQTT, EtherNet/IP, MES, WMS, or ERP systems.
- Understanding of cloud, edge, GPU-enabled deployment, containers, event-driven integration, observability, and production operations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 12 years of work experience, or an associate degree with a minimum of 6 years of work experience.
- Preferred experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Isaac ROS, Omniverse, Jetson, IGX, CUDA-enabled robotics, or comparable ecosystems.
- Preferred experience with robotics foundation models, robot learning, reinforcement or imitation learning, synthetic data, simulation-to-real workflows, and multi-vendor fleet orchestration.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Docker, edge orchestration, telemetry, remote support, robotics software lifecycle management, functional safety, and OT cybersecurity.
- Preferred experience taking robotics programs from proof of value through production, multi-site rollout, and lifecycle operations, especially in asset-intensive industries or consulting environments.
