Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support across the embedded software lifecycle.
- Develop embedded software features for unmanned robotic vehicles using maintainable C/C++ code, design patterns, SOLID principles, and reusable architectures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in development and deployed systems.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams on integration.
- Apply unit, integration, and simulation-based testing practices.
- Use distributed version control tools and support fielded systems, including travel of up to 15% as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience developing embedded real-time software in C/C++ for embedded processors.
- Experience with large, multithreaded embedded applications running on an RTOS.
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and their interaction with embedded software.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience with software engineering practices including refactoring, testing, version control, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Preferred qualifications include Agile experience, device-driver or embedded flash-programming experience, knowledge of unmanned vehicle or control systems and ROS or ROS 2, communication-protocol experience, and sensor-integration experience.
