Responsibilities
- Operate, stabilize, and strategically develop the Kubernetes platform.
- Scale and maintain a multi-tenant architecture for customer environments.
- Design, introduce, and optimize GitOps processes using ArgoCD.
- Develop and maintain complex Helm chart structures and deployment processes.
- Build and continuously improve observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and logging solutions.
- Automate infrastructure, operations, and deployment processes with GitLab CI/CD, Bash, and Python.
- Design and implement Kubernetes security, compliance, and secret-management concepts.
- Conduct technical reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Document platform components, operational processes, and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and infrastructure specialists in an international environment.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.
- Several years of experience operating production Kubernetes environments with direct cluster responsibility.
- Strong Kubernetes knowledge covering workloads, networking, RBAC, and multi-namespace architectures.
- Very strong Helm knowledge, including complex chart structures and deployment strategies.
- Practical experience with ArgoCD and GitOps-based operating models.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and monitoring, alerting, and observability concepts.
- Very strong knowledge of GitLab CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
- Solid experience with Docker and container technologies.
- Good Linux administration skills and experience managing production systems.
- Experience with managed Kubernetes platforms such as EKS, AKS, GKE, or Hetzner.
- Knowledge of secret management, such as HashiCorp Vault or OpenBao.
- Experience using Bash and/or Python to automate operational processes.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or comparable environments.
- Very good English proficiency at least at C1 level.
- Preferred: SRE experience, SLI/SLO/SLA knowledge, incident and problem management experience, Loki, FluentBit, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Terraform, Ansible, software development with Java or Python, and interest in AI, ML, and modern LLM platforms.
- German proficiency at least at B1 level, ideally C1.
