Responsibilities
- Work with OS partners and AMD engineering teams to enable Linux distributions on AMD EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs.
- Deploy software, reproduce issues, execute validation plans, analyze results, and investigate root causes in a multi-machine lab environment.
- Coordinate debugging and resolution of complex technical issues through cross-functional collaboration.
- Analyze incomplete or ambiguous information and make data-driven recommendations for product and program objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve products and engineering processes and propose solutions that improve product quality and feature readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- Exposure to server systems architecture and understanding of interactions among hardware, firmware, operating systems, virtualization, and application software.
- Linux kernel and KVM virtualization debugging skills.
- Experience with Linux feature backporting or upstreaming is a plus.
- Experience running and analyzing server system benchmarks.
- Basic programming skills in Python, C, or C++.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed engineering organization with geographically distributed teams.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex technical solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.
