Base Salary
$154k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Kotlin business logic for Android and Linux payment terminals, backend systems, and payment SDKs.
- Build payment capabilities supporting cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, QR codes, and global merchants.
- Integrate payment solutions with cash registers using industry standards.
- Contribute to C++ libraries central to payment business logic.
- Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and complete product tests.
- Debug Android applications and collaborate with engineers, product designers, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and grow engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and over-the-shoulder debugging.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience writing Kotlin code.
- Proficiency building software for Android and experience developing enterprise-level SDKs.
- Expert knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Gradle, and dependency injection.
- Experience maintaining comprehensive automated unit and integration test suites.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English and collaborate effectively.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, accountability, attention to detail, and willingness to mentor other engineers.
- Preferred experience with C or C++, libraries used by other engineers, security best practices and standards, Bluetooth-connected devices, or the payment industry.
