Base Salary
$113k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and manage data services on Kubernetes-based platforms including Amazon EKS and Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform with attention to security, scalability, and cost.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Argo CD, and GitHub Actions.
- Deploy and support cloud-native data services including Amazon Kinesis, AWS Glue, Google Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
- Use AI-powered tooling to accelerate script generation, configuration validation, and incident troubleshooting.
- Create Python automation scripts and internal DevOps tooling.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident triage, and post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with engineers and software developers to align infrastructure with application requirements and company standards.
- Document infrastructure, runbooks, and lessons learned for cross-team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure role.
- Production experience with AWS and/or GCP data services such as Kinesis, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience managing containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including EKS, GKE, or self-managed clusters.
- Solid understanding of Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools and Git-based workflows.
- Working knowledge of Jenkins, Argo CD, and/or GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency with Python or another scripting language for automation.
- Familiarity with observability stacks such as CloudWatch and Datadog.
- Fundamental understanding of SRE principles, service reliability, incident response, and performance monitoring.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience using AI-powered copilots, chat assistants, or AIOps platforms for infrastructure work or incident resolution.
- Preferred experience with Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer, big-data frameworks such as Spark or Flink, data-lake architectures, cloud cost optimization, event-driven architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ, GitOps workflows, and Istio.
