Base Salary

$120k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and own the enterprise cloud architecture across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop cloud architecture documentation including solution design documents and network diagrams.
  • Define and enforce cloud security architecture standards including Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Lead cloud migration planning and execution, assessing on-premise workloads and defining strategies.
  • Architect secure, high-availability cloud network topologies.
  • Collaborate with ISSM/ISSO teams to maintain Cloud Security Plans and continuous monitoring strategies.
  • Establish infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform or equivalent tools.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for cloud architecture on assigned programs.
  • Mentor and guide cloud engineers and junior architects.
  • Travel up to 10% CONUS to support program sites and architecture reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 4 years in DoD or federal programs.
  • Experience architecting production workloads on AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling and CI/CD pipeline security.
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, and cloud security requirements.
  • Experience supporting NIST RMF authorization activities for cloud-hosted systems.
  • Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
