Responsibilities
- Assist with software development and algorithm implementation for safety-critical railway systems using C, Python, and shell scripting.
- Develop software tools and scripts to improve the software development toolchain.
- Analyze, design, develop, and test software using the organization’s continuous integration methods.
- Document software solutions on the company wiki.
- Troubleshoot automation-related issues with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and implement further automation opportunities in software development and deployment.
- Follow company processes for developing software used in safety-critical systems.
Requirements
- Be working toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer, Systems, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Have in-depth software development knowledge and experience.
- Be proficient in C, real-time embedded software, and Python.
- Have experience with DevOps software environments including Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, organization, collaboration, adaptability, and independent-working abilities.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Docker and containerization, additional object-oriented programming languages, software security practices, open-source contributions, automated testing frameworks, hackathons, or coding competitions.
