Base Salary
$116k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable control plane and platform services.
- Drive cross-team technical initiatives, align stakeholders, and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Resolve bottlenecks, reliability risks, and architectural gaps while improving performance, observability, and maintainability.
- Set technical standards through design reviews, code reviews, best practices, and mentorship of senior engineers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve productivity and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including significant experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems and backend platform services.
- Deep expertise in system design, microservices architecture, API design, data modeling, and highly available fault-tolerant production services.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of Java, Go, or Python, with experience delivering production-grade software.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams, making architectural decisions, and influencing engineering direction.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, observability, reliability engineering, and secure software development.
- Demonstrated curiosity about and active use of AI tools to improve workflows and problem-solving.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted engineering, control plane, policy, identity, security, or other mission-critical platform systems in SaaS or cybersecurity.
- Preferred experience mentoring senior engineers and serving as an organization-wide technical leader.
