Base Salary
$168k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship backend APIs and services from prototypes to enterprise rollout.
- Own a product area end to end, including data modeling and API design.
- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to create technical plans.
- Tune performance and reliability under real production loads.
- Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to preemptively catch issues.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, code reviews, and team standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience with user-facing web or mobile products.
- Strong Python skills with production experience in Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Solid API design instincts across REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
- Comfort modeling data across SQL, NoSQL, time-series, and vector stores.
- Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- A track record of debugging production issues and shipping fixes.
