Base Salary
$214k - $236k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and lead integration strategy and execution across hosted services, shared libraries, standardized tool protocols, REST APIs, and diverse callers.
- Drive cross-functional delivery with backend API, partner-agent, security, SRE/platform, and program-management teams.
- Debug and root-cause complex integration failures using structured logs, distributed traces, metrics, and gateway or session-token behavior.
- Define and review integration contracts, allowlists, registry configuration, environment matrices, and interface assumptions.
- Support release gating through container-image promotion, configuration and secrets posture, smoke-path execution, and disciplined branching and tagging.
- Support hardware-software bring-up and manufacturing operations for Zoox autonomous vehicles.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strength in integration, platform, or backend roles.
- Strong production Python experience, including asynchronous I/O and automated testing.
- Experience with HTTP integration, REST/JSON-RPC, TLS, and debugging under load.
- Experience shipping services on Kubernetes, including deployments, health checks, and troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating bearer tokens, JWT validation, OAuth2/OIDC, enterprise SSO concepts, and least-privilege scoping.
- Exposure to Model Context Protocol or similar agent tool-calling and orchestration models is a bonus.
- Experience with observability practices such as metrics, traces, structured logging, and basic SLO or dashboard thinking is a bonus.
- Experience with security-sensitive integrations and external partner access is a bonus.
