Base Salary
$183k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop test frameworks supporting factory testing at Zoox manufacturing sites.
- Design and implement server infrastructure for manufacturing test activities.
- Develop manufacturing applications and shared code libraries for test engineers.
- Build dashboards and metrics for manufacturing data, including throughput and tester utilization.
- Develop infrastructure and platform components involving databases, APIs, containerization, deployment pipelines, and tester orchestration.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, hardware, and software teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 6+ years of industry experience in software development focused on on-premise or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with manufacturing technologies such as MRP, MES, MQTT, SCADA systems, and IoT devices.
- Experience with cloud deployment and infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
- Deep Python programming experience and required working knowledge of Pytest.
- Experience building dashboards and alerting systems for infrastructure monitoring.
- Knowledge of Git, reproducible builds, deployment strategies, and supporting infrastructure.
- Experience with Linux system administration and server management.
- Bonus experience with Salt, Ansible, Puppeteer, Slurm, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, databases, web servers, and bare-metal deployments.
