Responsibilities
- Design and deliver solutions for software and services running on cloud-hosted production infrastructure.
- Review other engineers’ solutions and provide technical feedback.
- Shape and optimize automated deployment pipelines for mission-critical enterprise software.
- Design, build, and support resilient, observable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure.
- Evaluate and select technologies.
- Share expertise and help other engineers grow and develop.
- Participate in work planning and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for cloud solution maintenance.
Requirements
- Experience with scalable, distributed systems architecture.
- Experience with GCP and AWS cloud platforms.
- Production-grade programming experience with Go.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience defining and implementing automated service deployments covering networking, security, reliability, management, reporting, and configuration management.
- In-depth understanding of deployment automation best practices.
- Experience using Git in a team environment.
- CS degree or equivalent experience.
- Advantageous: in-depth networking knowledge, including routing, naming, security, performance, and failure modes.
- Advantageous: identity and access management experience.
- Advantageous: experience instrumenting and managing automated deployments.
- Advantageous: experience resolving customer deployment issues.
- Advantageous: experience working with distributed teams and building deployment pipelines.
