Senior Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences that take actions for enterprise customers.
- Design prompts, reasoning flows, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems using Salesforce’s agentic AI platform and current LLM techniques.
- Own technical components end to end, including architecture, deployment, validation, and production observability.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Develop agent-performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting to monitor deployment health and business outcomes.
- Contribute to proofs of concept and MVPs that progress rapidly from concept to deployable solution.
- Co-build solutions with customers and partners, share best practices, and enable customer teams.
- Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer business challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
- At least one production system to discuss in detail.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering is required.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
- Ability to produce quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
- Willingness to experiment with emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce platform experience or certifications, familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, cloud data-platform experience, and experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments.
