Senior Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences that take actions for enterprise organizations.
- Design agent intelligence, including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
- Own technical components end to end, from architecture selection through validated and observable production deployment.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Model data, validate pipeline outputs, and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting.
- Contribute to proofs of concept and MVPs that progress rapidly from concept to deployable solutions.
- Co-build solutions with customers and partners while sharing best practices and enablement.
- Identify platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights for senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer business challenges into agentic solutions.
- Experiment with emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks and share findings with teams and customers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
- At least one production system experience suitable for technical discussion.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Required prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to work effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
- Ability to produce quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time and work directly with customers.
- Salesforce platform experience or certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer I, or Agentforce Specialist is preferred.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and orchestration patterns is preferred.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery is preferred.
- Experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments is preferred.
