Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, code, and troubleshoot secure, stable, and scalable software components.
- Write high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Develop solutions while considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, automation capabilities, and enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants to improve productivity and delivery.
- Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, secure coding standards, and responsible data handling.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making.
- Apply technical troubleshooting, system processes, methodologies, and development skills to solve problems.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience with Java, multithreading, and Kafka.
- Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience using and critically evaluating enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies and relevant experience designing, developing, and implementing software solutions.
