Responsibilities
- Build and maintain innovative product features across the Sezzle platform.
- Collaborate with feature owners and engineers to improve product functionality.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions.
- Write code, contribute to code reviews, and help build and deploy scalable solutions.
- Mentor engineers who are beginning their careers.
- Assist with project planning, estimation, and completion.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience for this mid-level development role.
- Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development and preferred React experience.
- Ability to solve backend problems using Go or a similar statically typed compiled language.
- Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
