Base Salary
$68k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable backend applications and analytics solutions using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies.
- Partner with technical program managers, technology leads, developers, and business stakeholders to evaluate requirements and recommend solutions.
- Develop application features according to coding standards, unit-testing expectations, and project-defined code coverage requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to developers and support functional specifications, technical specifications, service documentation, and solution designs.
- Oversee application testing, deployment, production readiness, monitoring, and observability.
- Lead technical discussions and support successful production delivery for large-scale or high-volume applications.
Requirements
- 9+ years of software development experience with advanced expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Data JPA.
- Strong experience designing and developing scalable backend applications, preferably in high-volume or large-scale environments.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or another enterprise messaging or queueing technology.
- Experience developing and deploying applications on a major cloud platform.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, Kubernetes, and modern application deployment practices.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, guide developers, and collaborate in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure; analytics solutions and models on Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform; cloud-native monitoring, observability, production support, technical architecture documentation, and large-scale production deployments.
