Base Salary
$188k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build new AI features that enhance Copilot.
- Build secure and performant AI Platform services that power Copilot.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, platform and infrastructure engineers, and application engineers on next-generation AI products and services.
- Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
- Own systems in production, including participation in on-call operations.
- Work in a fast-paced, design-driven product development cycle and deliver iteratively despite technical roadblocks.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using generative AI technologies to develop user-focused product features.
- 6+ years of experience building APIs and pipelines for large-scale products.
- 6+ years of experience building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Extensive experience with relational databases and key-value stores.
- Experience using, deploying, and scaling machine learning frameworks and large language models.
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, agent frameworks, or tool-calling systems at scale.
- Experience building evaluation and experimentation infrastructure for AI systems.
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues involving performance, scalability, security, and user experience.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Benefits
- The role is based in Mountain View, California, requires the employee to be local to the San Francisco Bay Area, and requires onsite work four days per week.
