Responsibilities
- Implement features and services using established design and coding patterns.
- Develop and enhance RESTful APIs for dealer and consumer applications.
- Build UI components using React or similar frontend frameworks.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code aligned with team standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture decisions.
- Support Toyota digital workflows including VDP, PreQual, and pricing requests.
- Develop understanding of cloud platforms, microservices, distributed systems, and engineering tools.
- Handle request/response data models and data flows through services, APIs, and event-driven systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of software development experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Core development skills in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience building and enhancing REST APIs for enterprise applications.
- Basic AWS exposure, including containers, deployments, and logging.
- Frontend development experience with React or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of microservices and cloud-native development concepts.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise development practices.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with dealer-centric or consumer-facing digital applications, event-driven architectures or messaging systems, CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, distributed systems, resiliency, platform engineering, and GitHub Copilot.
- Ability and willingness to learn financial services and automotive platform concepts.
